Riot Seed Bank, Blue Dream, and Attitude

Riot seeds is producing Blue Dream. 17 people are gonna orgasm over that simple fact. But doing some research into the company troubles me. Their explination of the strain sounds EXACTLY like the strain descriptions from the seed banks. It looks like they took that, found the 2 most expensive versions, and since DJ Short has 2 versions of blueberry they just wrote "some blueberry strain from DJ Short" and put that as the strain history.

That made me curious, and I looked up a lil stuff on riot. There are several people, with proof, from forums such as this that say the pics of their products come from their boards. The pics attitude are posting come from another forum (don't know the etiquette about mentioning it so I won't ). Either way, apparently the owner of riot banned and deleted the guy who's pics he used when he tried to post on their site, since their site is apparently also some sort of forum.

I've grown bomb ass shit. $120 for a 6 pack of fem seeds is really reaching. I mean, I'd feel happy paying it if I knew the breeder was responsible and the genetics good, but this is a brand new company putting up 20 bills a seed? And using forum pics for their product?

Anyway, my spidey sense is tingling here folks so, fair warning. Until Attitude puts some in a promo I'm staying the hell away. Frankly I'd much rather drop the same amount on twice as many seeds from Barney's or DNA or Reserva and get some shit I know will be dope as fuck. To all you BASTARDS growing Blue Dream already, enjoy it. I'm pretty sure the riot guy is just cs stressing a few clones for fem seeds, moved to holland, bought a few seeds from a few other companies, did the same, and now is trying to make out like a rockstar before people find out his shit is crap.

I hope I'm proven wrong but a friendly warning, I know a lot of people (me included) are itchin' to grow an entire field of blue dream to roll around naked in...but this may be schwag in dank clothing so...if any of you have experience with riot or know something I don't lemme know. I just don't want to see a bunch of half assed blue nightmare posts lol. Cheers.

I've grown this and it is superb, but you have to find a clone mother out of the batch, there's a real variance in strength in Haze hybrids.
"Haze is a four-way hybrid of some of the finest narrow-leaf tropical's that the world has ever known (Mexico, Colombia, S. India, Thailand), so the legend goes. A long flowering plant that gives wispy yields of the highest quality. This line is out of Sam Skunkmans stock by way of Positronics seeds ("Original Haze") circa mid 1990's.
It does not breed true for its intoxicating properties, however the best examples (approximate 5%) are electrifyingly cerebral. For decades, words have utterly failed to fully capture the intensity of effect that a good example of Haze can give - it is absolutely in a league of its own and must be experienced."

I said "possible" They are both old strains from the West Coast, Blaze has been around for quite some time and somebody could have grown it out and saved the super "Haze" variant.
If it's not the original source it's a damn good substitute for those who can't get clones.

They are not a brand new company and they are not coming soon to attitude.

You don't rly know all the facts. Riot does have a lot of bad press and his motives are questionable. I have some of his seeds but haven't grown em. Will tho.

He does have some good shit.

you cant trust anyone. isnt that number one rule. i thought it was called blue dream s1? if your that stupid to buy them from some bank that you never really heard of. good luck.. its like pineapple express g13 has it and barneys wanted it, bad. they would do anything to get it. but what is it really. its about the money

i personally have had bad dealings with matt....hes a snake in the grass trying to get rich quick....his methods are suspect, at best....tread lightly at riot seeds is all i have to say

Although I heard also they may not carry his shit anymore because of shady dealings. Still figured it was worth posting.

Dude I ordered my riot seeds from attitude months ago, and they were there for months before that. Its all old stock now that's left.

They are not coming soon. They are discontinued.

Riot was using other ppls pics and bashed subcool in a strain description.

He has elite genetics no doubt but how he got them is the fucked part.

I've also read about & heard loads of bad things about the guy and how he goes about things. And imo ~ Matt Riot is just another pollen chucker out for making quick cash on the cali' medi' mari' "gold rush", selling untested seeds/genetic's. Notice how all his strains are rip offs of other more respected breeders work, in both the genetics used & the pic's to advertise them. And now most are discontinued which says a lot too :lol:. Bashing & hating on other well established & respected breeders in the scene atm in his strain descriptions says a lot about the guy as a person too.
Also Riot seeds have 52 strains listed as being available in seed from them both in fem & reg's, second only to Dutch Passion who have 53. But more than any of the other seed breeders that are around including ones that have been around for ages like ~ Soma Seeds (36), Sensi Seeds (40), Mr Nice (41), Barneys Farm (35), Greenhouse (43), TGA (35). I don't know about everyone else but to me that seems to show a point. For the short amount of time Riot Seeds have been around they have so many strains available straight off from the start and that smells more than fishy to me :wink:.
I wouldn't have those seeds in my grow op ever!! :D even if they were given to me for free the bin is where they would go :-P

yeah, I was reading over his forums, he trades his "strands" for other breeder's strands and equipment. That's just downright bootleg. IMO anyone who has to trade their seeds for lights isn't earning their keep! I also saw a post blaming RIU for riot being unsuccessful. I think it was him getting busted using the same pics for multiple strains, I think he mixes and sells without even test growing.

He still has some good shit, like I'm sayin he has elite genetics. When ur crossing clone onlys then your gonna have the same outcome basically. Not searching for the best pheno for years cuz its clone only.

I have his sweet pink grapefruit x arcata trainwreck. I'm not worried about growing em out, can't wait actually.

That is a shitload of strains to have out already. But its not so much that the there "bad" as it is most of the work has been done by someone else.

Really every company but the original breeder is making knockoffs anyways.

I would be more careful with some of his other strains that would require some stabilising or pheno hunting on riots part, as it hasn't been done.
A lot of cali mmj growers and breeders are making mmj a cliqish trash talkin soap opera.

I'd just be carefull with them is all mate, good luck with your grow though, and be sure to let the community know the real truth about his seeds.
I for one don't trust him or his seed.

I dunno there's a point where you can see he has put up requests for strains he can't get in return for seeds. Then a few months later those seeds show up in the genetic history of a new seed. No way he can speed up time to grow like that. I'm not questioning THE genetics, I'm just saying I could walk into a service station, buy a grape soda and a coke, and say I created grape coke.

And as for his genetics.....he's not using clones. He's trading crossed seeds for seeds people send him.
