Ripe? 8 Weeks - GDP, Grapefruit Diesel, Sour Diesel 400w organic

So... this is my first soil grow.... i was trying to go all organic, and i pretty much pulled it through, but there are a few things i'll do differently next time, such as using different soil. I used the Black Gold soil, but i think that my plants wanted more nutrients throughout the whole grow, so i'll switch to fox farms. Now that i think about it, the gf diesel actually was pretty comfortable in its habitat, but i doubt a little more wouldn't have hurt it.

anyway, now for the pics. the grand daddy purple (GDP) looks about ripe and ready to harvest within the next few days. about 30% of the trichomes have turned amber, so i'm just checking every day till it feels better.

The other plans still have a few weeks left, judging by the trichomes that are mainly pretty milky... unless someone thinks i should rush it a little bit on them since the sour diesel is pretty energetic. whatever though, i'll probably just wait till they're 50% amber anyway.

Enjoy! The deep purple one is actually the grapefruit Diesel.... the one labeled "GDP" is the grand daddy, and the others are clones from different mothers.

I would like some input on what went wrong with a lot of the yellowing! I felt like i was fighting an uphill battle with them the entire grow.

Thanks!

Well, your yellowing was showing at different spots of the plant, but mainly your older leaves. That suggests nitrogen deficiency, but you kind of want that when getting closer to harvest time so the buds don't have such a metallic taste when you smoke em, so I wouldn't worry much.

Hey man, sick looking plants. some more veg nutes earlier in flowering would probably stop them yellowing quite so soon.

They look sweet though. you're going to be stoooooooooned.:eyesmoke:

[Edit] by sick I mean really good, not really ill, sorry.

I'm happy you clarified the "sick" term because i was baked when i read that and was like "shit, does he mean 'sweet' or does he mean 'ill'... so thanks for the edit.

I'll be watercuring part of it, so i'll post some comparisons afterward!
