Whats up all joint lovers on RIU!!! so i have some experience with growing and i now wanna construct the "perfect setup" in a 4x4 room........i dont plan on having the plants grow over 3-4ft! i have 6ft head clearence tho....i want to kno what anyone would consider a great setup..including lights, scrubber,co2,etc.i want to know what wattage i should use in that area scrubber/fan.....also its gunna be in the basement in THE north which im sure will hAVE ITS OWN CHALLENGES!!!..i want to think twice, buy and build once!!....what obstacles will i face such as humidity in the summer/winter? also how you would mount everything...id like to exhaust to another area of the house rather than to the exterior?? i plan on using a air cooled hood no matter the wattage...also how many plants would be able to fit in the area....i have a actual room size of 4ft by 8ft by 6ft tall but i wanna have a small seperate room for clones to root and grow to 12 inches Tall!! thoughts on most efficent and productive setup INCLUDING BEST PERPETUAL METHOD IS +rep'D!!!!..THIS ROOM IS NOT BUILT THERE FOR I CAN MAKE THE FLOWER ROOM A BIT BIGGER BUT ID LIKE TO STAY 4X4 PREFERABLY!!! PEACE ON EARTH!!!

My thoughts.... 4 x 4 is too small to have room for all the things you need. So my suggestion is:

4 x 6 foot flower room. 4x4 grow space under a single AC 1000w hood. Dehumidifier and CO2 controller in the flower room. cheap window aircon installed into the side of the room (vents to adjoining room). small space heater to run when lights are off. 2 x 4 clone/ veg room. Clone bucket to generate 18 clones at a time. Veg under 4 bulb, 4' HO t5. Panda film with some ventilation between the two room.

legallyflying has a very good setup idea, except for the fact that you do not have the height for a 1000w. You should go with a 600w so you can keep your light closer to your plants, this should also be a cooltube or sealed hood. You could also try to go for TWO 400w's but that will just make things more complicated and expensive.

The method is called LST (Low Stress Training). This involves tying down the branches of the plant, this way as it grows I can tie down certain branches and let others grow and place them wherever I want to maximize light efficiency. In the picture there are 6 plants in a 2'x3' all tied down and at the same height

Isn't that a case of overkill? A/C units remove humidity from air, that's why window units are set slightly off level with the outside/back part slightly lower than the inside/front and they drip water from the outside/back and why heat pumps and whole house units have drains where water flows from them, so why would someone need both an A/C unit and a dehumidifier? If heat is an issue the A/C unit would do all the dehumidifying that would be needed.

i think he meant AC as in air cooled hood? i dont have much input as im working on my own first room its rather small but my setup is going vertical instead of more floor space.
