Has anyone ever seen this method of cloning with rockwool, I have a friend that does it this way.

He takes the clones as you would usually take them for rockwool, places them in a black tray
and pours water into the tray until the rockwool cubes have taken up all the water and are soaked,
and keeps the bottom of the tray filled about half a centremeter to a centremeter with water so they
are sitting in it.

He never has problems with this method and just wondering if anyone else has seen it done
this way.

there 78 holes in a 1" rock wool deck and the same amount of holes in a bed of rock wool clone squares. I have never had a 100% take rate from rapid rooter plugs but ive had many from rock wool beds. I usually see roots at 12 days because i refuse to lift the tray until then. Then i give them air and break them to the surroundings.
