Rollitup Cannabis cup

so i was just thinkin that we need to have a rollitup cannabis cup. Obviously it would be extremely difficult to pull off but not impossible if we had the right group of people setting it up. It could start out locally and slowly progress "like a tournament".

I mean we have this Huge site connecting growers from all over the world and it seems to me like we should put some real competition in it instead just a bunch of arguments. This is one of the only places to brag about your buds with pictures and what not but wouldn't you love for people to be able to SMOKE your shit so you can compare. It would be like a smoke and swap fest...any ideas please share

Howdy, I think you've got a great idea!
I would be happy to attend any RIU Cannabis Cup, especially if it was done locally, and then regionally, etc. After all, why should Amsterdam be given the preference?
Everybody who has ever had a chance to smoke any of the original strains of Pinconning Paralyser knows that its very hard to top it in THC strength. I've seen it knock down even the most chronic of smokers.
I remember smoking a doobie of Pinny Paralyser with a guy in San Antonio who was an experienced grower, and he actually had to sit down, before he fell down. He said, "I'm almost hyper-ventilating, and it feels like rubber bands are snapping on my brain." Another older grower here in Michigan(heck i'm in my 40's) told me he felt like "a virgin stoner" after taking about 3 hits off of a small Paralyser joint.
I think security would be tough to pull off, but you are right, it could be done. We could try to do it ala "Enter the Dragon" the old Bruce Lee flick.
Your swap/trade platform would be cool as well.
If you start a tournament, send me an invite. I've got a few Paralyser girls in flower right now!

Yeah it would have to be done stealth like. But people pull shit like this off all the time...like the annual 420 party in NYC, and i cant think of any more specific ones but i read about little cannabis cups going on all over the US, we just gotta take it regional, winners go to next round etc. And even when that huge 420 party in vegas got busted nobody got arrested. We just need a couple smart people to help put it together. We should find some local pot friendly businesses that may want to host the events. We could even do it at somebodies house to keep it really safe. I just think it would be a great thing for the whole cannabis community with such a widespread sharing of genetics...and i'm sure you'd meet some friends for life along the way

Everyone can help get the ball rolling by talkin to anybody that they know that grows and/or would be interested in participating in an event like this...If we can get just a couple local cups goin than thats all we need to start expanding into a bonafide cannabis cup with representatives from all over the country

Thats why i brought up the 420 party in NYC(where there is no MMJ) that they have annually. It would just have to be kept on the down low and the location would only be released to ticket buyers the day of the event. There's little cannabis cups that go on all over america in little towns...they take place at bars, restraunts, etc. but like i said it could even be done at a residence. Another example is the stoner games in Toronto.

people would be to scared to be involved, which is understood. But thats why i wanna start on the local level...You'll be dealing with people that u trust and simply getting other growers that you know in your area to put somethin together...then we move on from there

i have nothing to be afraid of.,.,dont really know wat people trip about.,.,its not like ya gotta get a backround check to get in.,.,but it wouldnt hurt lol,.,.,im a legal grower.,.,just have it ina ganja friendly state and everythings everything.,.,i wouldnt want a million newbyz thast joined yesterday there.,.would rather the vets frum the site and if there feeling u then a p.m u get.,.,all i know is im CB200 AND I SAY YES WE CAN.,.,LOL.,.,SO DONT SAY NO.,.,SAY SO.,.,

Thats why i wanna start it locally, so the weeding out can be done way before the competition gets heated. The local competitions would be set up privately and official records would be kept for each one. Those records would then be forwarded to the staff setting up the cup...haven't thought it all out yet, but thats why i brought it up here

I think its cool in theory but, A) You talking about it on a public forum, there goes your stealth factor B) If it is arranged via this website wouldn't that just put RIU even more on the radar of authorities then it already is?

OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't be set up here on rollitup...i just wanted to see how people reacted about the idea. If it seems to be a popular idea then i would go forward in a much more private way

All it takes is for some people to take some initiative and set up "private" local cups.

Well if you find people willing to participate or start it up then more power to ya, i would love to be able to somehow participate if I ever lived in a legal state..

All i can take care of is my own area and anyone that thinks they can set somethin up for their area then pm me or somethin so we can set this up. It'll take awhile but it only takes a couple people puttin somethin together. If it can actually get some momentum i would love to see east coast, west coast, and middle america growers sharing genetics
