Rosin Making Question

I plan on buying a Dake 10 ton and 3x5 lowtemp plates to start making some rosin. I have some lower popcorn buds I plan on squishing. I am a little unsure whats the best way to go about this. Would it be better to use some bubble bags and make ice water bubble hash first and press the hash or should I skip that step and just press the flowers straight up? Are there pro's and con's for either method? I see folks doing both methods but might not be fully understanding when to use each method. Not looking to add another step (making the ice water hash) if it doesn't add to quality/quantity. I can understand using IWE for stuff like trim leaves since you probably wouldn't want to squish the leaves, but for popcorn buds is it necessary? Looking for input, thanks.

Def skip the bubble hash step when you got nugs. Not only can you not extract enough bubble from flower to make it worth doing that IMO, but squishing flower is also gonna be more terpy usually.
Order the 220 bags that lowtemp has for your 3x5 plates. They work killer. I use his 3x6 bags for my 4x7 plates and stuff 20grams of broken up smalls evenly per bag. Very minimal blowout if any and I got a 20ton.

This is all theoretical information gleaned from across the web but here goes... As stated a flower run will produce more flavor but will sacrifice yield. Not only will the flower trap some of the trichs but the squished flower can act like a sponge and reabsorb some oil. In theory a well washed bubble run will produce more than the same trim run but will sacrifice flavor. Comes down to personal choice and personally I would never squish a nug I could smoke. But I do make bubble from the trim, which is hard to find a use for unless making edibles. I've heard of people making rosin from trim but I've read it's inferior to nug or hash and has the potential for blowouts and to scratch your plates if you miss a stem.
