My plants are growing steadily but they dont seem to be producing the spikey leaves that marijuana is known for. this is my first grow so any help would be appreciated.

the temp is kept at a constant 70
i water every other day with a tspn of nutes per gallon of water
nutes are floragrow

the light (a 600wthps) is about 2.5 ft from the plants which are almost a ft tall

heres some pics

they look green and healthy but they dont look like mj leaves

the soil is also 50 cocogro and 50 perlite

these were clones that were handled very poorly before they were given to me. im fairly certain it is a purple strain.

If I didn't see the top growth starting to straighten itself out & look normal than I think I would consider scrapping it & starting over. It's possible i guess that they could just look funny but potency will be fine but i wouldn't count on it. How's the growth rate?

i thought so it is not uncommon to get some abnormal growth from clones in the beginning.
so dont panic they are fine and will return to normal as they get bigger...:-)

post some new pics in a couple days. Hope the tops w/ new growth start looking better. If that's the case then I would say all is good. hope they straighten out for ya :)

coco and perlite? thats it? I'd say transplant it into a better soil and not water it as much.
what has that got to do with it..?
it has nothing to do with watering or any thing else it is a clone thing.
i have 7 going that look nothing like cannabis but they are and will return to normal later....:-)

it is defiantly marijuana ,it is a clone that was taken well into the flowering cycle,so it may put out some wierd growth for a fair while..:-)

have you been givin it nutes? the stems look like branches off a tree...so purple theyre brown..isn't that a difficency? and the leaves..mj plants don't just look like that for no reason..clone or not..

i was talking about the curling of the leaves. yes i know that clones can be manipulated. I have a grape ape in mature flower stage that never changed. each leaf is just one finger and a little side finger like 1/16 the size.

I just thought the plant in the pic looked a little over watered.

This is very very interesting. Im stumped the leaves could be nitrogen overdosed, the darkening and the thickening..but I dont see why there would be diffs. showing on the stalks. Repost it in the advanced section where a greater mind can handle it, tell em none of us peons know what were talkin about. But do post what you find. Do it quick too the clones still look completely viable.

agreed with above it is a clone taken from a well flowering plant. its going to look weird for a while but it should normal out.
