Hi there,
according to RVK specs, a 4" and a 6" put out very similar amounts of noise, around 46 dB both (at 3 meters). In spite of this, I've heard of some lads who got rid of their 6" and went for a 4" claiming the noise was just a whisper in comparison.
Is that maybe because in a 4" you can reduce the rpm to lower values without stalling the blades, so at lower settings a 4" is way quieter whereas at max rpm they're pretty much the same?
I'm a bit puzzled for this..
