Sagarmatha Seeds :: Strawberry D-Lite

I asked around a while ago about Strawberry Diesel and got pointed towards this as SD is always sold out. So, what can people tell me about this?

All I know is that it's apparently NYC Diesel x Strawberry Cough. But what I'm looking for is a good bit of knowledge regarding how it grows, how it smokes and how well it is suited to the environment it's put in. So anyway, here are my questions.

- Is it a resilient strain and good for beginners(it will be my second grow)?
- How does this compare to Strawberry Diesel? For example; Not worth it/A good substitute/As good as/better than/far superior.
- Does it smell a lot during veg and/or flowering?
- How does it fair in soil?
- Is it nutrient hungry?

Thanks in advance for your input and I'll rep those who are helpful.

i've grown this strain as has ataxia on here.. we've both talked about this strain before, and we both loved it.. very nice smoke with strawberry undertones to a diesel taste..
nice sativa dom high to it..

grows well, took a lot of abuse from me... i grew it in soil and it seemed to be a moderate feeder ime..

Strawberry D-Lite. For sure racer .... strawberry all day!

hsf we got the info for you .... however i only grew a single fem seed for what it's worth.

With my pheno it was a VERY easy grow... it wasn't a heavy feeder, and took a great bit of abuse from seedling to veg. I grew mine out in soil (Roots Organic) used FF Big Bloom, botanicare cns nutes... never had a problem with ph/lockout. Had a small cal mag problem but that was common with all my plants due to my tap. Saddly i don't have any pics posted of the Strawberry D... but MY pheno grew short, tight and stout, very indica like structure. Had a good yield for the short veg time. Not a stinky grower, but some odor control should be taken whether it be Ona or filters.

The smoke was fine, fine, fine. Had a nice high, mine was a total hybrid. indica without the couch lock. just relaxing, mind expanding smoke. Mine had more of the diesel type smell with some pungent acidic berry, incense, hashy type flavor....

good thing i read this after smoking...otherwise i wouldn't have remembered shit about it. You brought me back.

if you're growing it ....make a journal and link us up brotha .... as you can see there aren't many grows of it here. ahhhh flowering time was about 9 weeks. Good luck with it man

Tried this outdoors and was my least favorite plant for 2012. Only got a single pix and mix so its only one bean and I am sure that some must be better than what I did this year. Once again, only one seed and thats the luck of the draw.

Thanks guys, one other question, if you would be so kind?

I know it's probably all down to the phenotype, and it's probably a question more for racerboy as I'm unsure on how many plants he grew. But what would you say the medium would be on the stretch during flowering?

i don't really remember it having a crazy stretch tbh.. i'd expect it to at least double in size from when you put it into flower for sure though.. :D

Well, I was told by my friend who grows that Indica's will more than likely double in size, where as Sativa's are more likely to triple in size, is this sometimes the case or can you control how much it stretches?

But at least you don't remember it having a crazy stretch period, that would be pretty memorable.

mine barely stretched at all ....maybe 1/2 it's size. that isn't necessarily the case with indicas and sativas ....each plant has their own genetics therefore the stretch varies from plant to plant, lighting, temps ....many variables play into the stretching before and after the flip

i grew a strawberry d-lite i bought (1 bean thru pick and mix attitude)

it was an ok plant overall. i only bought one so i cant be sure how good of a pheno i got. it has a nice look to it in flowering..the hairs make it look very nice (reddish-orange on my pheno). it grew indica like in size/structure. not a big stretcher at all. it probably stretched the least out of the rest. mine grew very compact in veg and it carried through to flowering.

big cola on mine. worth topping for a bigger yield (i didnt top mine but wish i did)

it didnt give me any real problems in veg or bloom.

it DID get some mold on the main cola.. this was partly due to the conditions it was put in when i had to move my plants in an emergency. it stayed in a trailer for 2 days and no matter what i did i couldnt get the humidity below 60-65. so thats not really a problem with the plant...id just advise u keep your humidity in check. my mold issue wouldnt prevent me from trying it again...

the high was decent...not very memorable for me. it was sativa like in high department...heady. had SOME (not much) indica influence (even though it grew like an indica). its not bad smoke in the least. just not something i want to have around all the time (ie. not a "keeper" strain for my personal smoking uses)

id say its worth the time in your grow room though.
