San Diego Medical Marijuana dispensaries

Good news! Yesterday San Diego's new Mayor Bob Filner ordered a halt on all prosecutions of medical marijuana dispensaries in San Diego until the city can review and rewrite the regulations on the industry. The new mayor supports the use of marijuana for medical reasons and wants to ensure patients safe access to their medicine.

the city attorney stated that filner has sole authority over civil actions against dispensary code violations. After he was given this advice he sent out memos calling for a hault of prosecutions of medical dispensaries to the San Diego police chief and the development services director for San Diego.

Filner said that he would work with dispensary advocates to create an ordinance in the next few weeks to allow regulated dispensaries and even offered to testify in court.

hopefully GREEN WORKS SD will resume as a walk-in dispensary once again.

Haha! I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure they will start up again just like every other time. When and where is the big question now. I will update this post if I hear anything.
