Sativa Leaf Question???

Has anyone experienced the amount of leaves getting less and less as the plant grows taller? I.E. 5-3-2-1 about every foot up the plant. Is this normal or mutation/ deficency

Um mine have done it but it changed all together within a couple inches and remember its in flower right now so maybe it is supposed to.
