Screwed up light cycle in flowering

Hey guys,

I'm a bit devastated and in shock right now.
Went to 12/12 three weeks ago, one week after switch I went to a holiday for two weeks.
Took care of them with a timed watering system and the plants were alive when I came back.

Although I was some kind of confused by the development of the plants: Some stretch but no signs of budforming. As this is my second grow, I realised too late that something must be wrong.

So here is the drama: My dark cycle is from 7 am to 7 pm. In between (around 4 pm) the timer was switched on for one hour (I just didn't see it......f*ck...)...

Should I continue the grow? 10 weeks of work for the trash bin?
Plants grew fine from fem. seeds, but I guess they are going to herm for sure?

Thanks for any advice!

it should be okay as long as it was consistent.

what you did is essentially called gas lighting or gas lamp routine. outdoor growers put lamps around their plant for 1 hour in the middle of the night to keep the plants vegging longer.

the key here is consistency. if it was the same hour every night and the plants never started to flower you should be a okay. if the plants started to flower and then reveg then the hormones that cause hermaphriditic traits could be present.

i would not trash them. fix the timer and start flowering and see what happens.

One time ... there should be no real cause of concern as long as you went right back to schedule. You would have to have an extended time screwup before noticing any problems .

Don’t do it again.... lol

it sounds like it was every day for two weeks possibly

i still think it should be okay tho as the plants haven't started flowering

Yeah, I think it was on the 1-hour break in the 12 hour dark cycle all the time.
I fixed the timer now and hope they will go into flowering now. They're now looking more like preflowering stage.
Have to handle the real stretch though, as they are real tall now :-D

Thank you for your help! :joint:
