Second Grow Attempt

This is my second attempt to grow folks.. I have two seedlings, just a few inches tall, the leaves are quite big for the size of the stems.. they are in 5 gallon fabric pots that I transplanted them into as soon as I saw they grew about an inch tall each. I am using Happy Frog soil and I watered in a circle around the plants and even a bit further from the plants every day. Not sure if i went over or underboard.. also, the water is pHed to about 6.5 .. kinda hard to tell cause I don't use a meter, (instead I use a liquid that changes the color of the water) both recieving 14kish lux with rhe light about 36 inches away and dimmed down all the way (HLG 260). The tent is 65RH inside and 79 Farhrenheit at the moment (daytime). Actually just made the ac in my room colder.. that should bring the temps down to about 75 in the tent. I have a feeling I am going too weak on the light, but everywhere I read people who have written that it is not good to give seedlings too much light. But my question is, why not? Outside they would be recieiving incredibly high levels of light beyond what a meter can even read at times. I actually put two seeds outside inside hole-poked solo cups with happy frog and dug a hole for each of them.. My mind wanted me to start anew, but I can't give up on them.. I also will have trouble accessing new seeds at the moment. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read! Also, I have some moist soil that I had watered but scooped a seed from in my room.. will it go bad? 20200408_120339.jpg20200408_120342.jpg20200408_115802.jpg

Look dry but best to underwater than over water. Good luck
Thank you, I forgot to note that I watered them recently but they are still quite moist inside and heavy so I am letting them dry up some more. They seem to be happier now than they were yesterday, when the soil was extremely moist.. I am so scared to overwater again.. lol
