Has anyone else has a problem with the ceiling cross members of this Secret Jardin tent? They don't seem quite long enough or something. There is nothing holding them in place and they keep popping off. The doc sucks, so i checked some youtube videos. Some didn't even show the installation of those parts, and others made it look like its just supposed to snap on. but this is my second Secret Jardin and same problem.

I have the 5x5 and just got one for a friend and they both had the same issue as yours but it was only when the crossbars were on one way. It was like the tent wasn't exactly square but now that my tent has been sitting there with equipment in it for a couple weeks, I just rehung all the equipment and moved the crossbars and what do you know... it fit perfectly! I think the tent had to settle or something, I am not quite sure but it seems to be the only design flaw that I have seen so far. Well, that and the zippers could be a little better but I still think it's a great tent, maybe the best out there.

Good luck and keep it green.

Hahaha, I don't know about the mallet but maybe if you are very very gentle with it. Don't go all batting practice on it. You can also try some twine or light rope to see if you can pull it into shape. I am guessing the crossbars fit one way and not the other like mine did, but are you sure you have the correct pieces together. I seem to remember D to D and E to E.

I had the problem with the DR60 II. I banged in all corners with a rubber mallet and the support bars were still too short. I called the vendor and eventually we figured it out and it surprised the hell out of me back then and still doesn't make sense today. I had to flip the tent in order to get the bars to fit. I had to take the tent off of the frame then flipped the frame and then the bars were able to fit. I still don't understand how it works out like that with a square tent, but it works now so it's whatever I guess.
thanks moz...i'll try that tomorrow :)

thanks! i'll try rotating them and see if that helps. and yeah, my backup plan involves some metal wire and a pair of pliers.

hmmmmmmmmmmm... mallets, pliers, wire... must be something sick and twisted i can do with all those :)

I used zip ties so I can still slide the crossbeams around if needed. Kind of strange that they give you a few well made cross beams and two crappy ones.
