Secret Jardin DR60 II, S&P TD 125 inline and Phresh 4'x12' filter

Hi RIU,
I'm trying to get all the equipment together for my first grow. Due to space limitations I will be using a Secret Jardin DR 60 II grow tent (2'x2'x5.5') inside a closet. I'm currently using CFL's for light and intent to upgrade to a 150w HPS. Stealth is a priority so I'm considering a S&P TD 125 (149cfm low and 197cfm on high) attached to a 4'x12' Phresh filter. Will the S&P TD 125 through the filter pull enough CFM to vent the tent, eliminate the odor yet still remain quiet? Any recommendations or help is apprecitated.

How are the temps inside the tent? I have a dr60 I was going to use for an ez cloner but it stays to hot for that so I use it to dry bud in with a multi level drying rack. I have several Secret Jardin tents though and also use S&P inline fans in all of them and they work well together.

If that fan is the 4 inch inline it should fit the ports fine but I used insulated flex ducting on all my tents to make them quiet and cool as possible. Being in a closet you may consider another inline fan for air intake from another room other than the closet for better fresh air if possible so you can keep the door closed for privacy. If you want to get a cheap inline fan for intake I would double wrap it with thick duct insulation or if you have the space just stuff a small storage container with some old pillows and cut holes for ducting on each side to muffle the sound. You also may want to do a temp check with the 150 hps also so your ready when needed, Look into getting a fan speed dimmer for around $25.00 they work well for keeping down the noise

You'll be fine with what you're planning but if you want to be a little quiter you could use the TD-100X with the 4"x8" Phresh filter.

I'm waiting for the DR60 to be delivered. So dont know what the temps will be like. Just trying to plan it all out and make a shopping list. The specs on the TD 125 say it has a 5" duct diameter. http://www.solerpalau-usa.com/brochures/Residential_Light_Comm/TD_Extended_Brochure.pdf
I guess I would need a 5" to 4" reducer inorder to attach the fan to ducting. Definately would like to get some insulated flex ducting to go from the fan to attic. Was thinking of mounting the fan on the outside of the tent.
How does this setup sound: filter inside dr60-flex ducting through exhaust port-5"-4" duct reducer- TD 125- insulated flex ducting-attic.
I was thinking of just strapping a pc fan to one of the intakes to boost fresh air. The door to the closet is a folding one with about 1" space at the bottom.
If noise is an issue with the TD 125 I will make a box for it and fill it with that expaning foam stuff. I was told that those fan speed controllers cause the fan to buzz and a variac speed controller would be needed: http://www.officebeyond.com/va-130-0300.html

Would the TD 100x and 4x8 Phresh filter be enough to vent a 150w HPS in a dr60? I was thinking of the TD 125 and 4x12 Phresh filter because I figure it's better to have a fan that is alittle louder (which can be controlled) than a fan that doesnt pull enough cfms.
Also would the 4"x12" Phresh filter last longer than the 4"x8" Phresh filter?

That's a small tent so the smaller fan and filter will be fine. I've got fan speed controllers on 4 diff tents and have not had any problems for the last 4 years.

Yes, the TD100X w/ 4x8 filter will be enough. I've used that setup DR60 and a DR60 II with a 150hps, a 240w LED, and a low wattage led with 168w of cfl and I never had a problem with heat with any of them. I don't know if the 12" filter will last longer than the 8" but I don't see how it could have a shorter life.

thanks! I'm just shopping around now for the best price. The price difference between the Presh 4"x8" with TD 100x or Phresh 4"x12" with TD 125 maybe the deciding factor. Only thing is that I dont want to have to buy another fan if I use a bigger tent/more light in the future. I wonder how big of a light/tent a TD 100x and Phresh 4x8 could effectively vent.

I've used it in a DR80 w/ a 240 led and it did the job just fine, but I'm not sure how much bigger it can handle.
