Hey guys! Got these Hindu Kush seedlings in pro mix hp haven't fed them yet other then light watering. Its been about 5 days since they came out of the medium ....Under a LED about 25" away. Only problem is they haven't really started growing at all and ones seems to be abit droopy. There is 4 in total temp is about 64-70 f and humidity is between 30-40 .

Thanks for the help.IMG_2378.JPG IMG_2379.JPG

The roots have to tap out first. Don't overwater. Keep the lights high. Are there drain holes? Why are they nested? You must have excellent drainage.
I seen the root coming out abit already at the bottom of the 4th plant . They're double cupped and what I do is I poke holes in the main cup then drop it in the second cup . There's a lot of holes iv done this before for outdoor this is my first go at indoor though. Thanks for the advice I'm going to raise the lights abit!

What do you mean by nested?

Got to feed them something if you want them to grow as HP has no nutes at all.

Give them a flush with 1/4 strength nutes of whatever it is you plan to use.

I've been using HP with 3-part nutes for a decade. Better than the Sunshine Mix #4 I used for the decade prior to this one.

IMO they look fine, they are working on roots more than anything at this time. Just give them time and don't over water.

You are watering way too much. I watered once initially and haven’t watered since.

This was planted on Feb 3 and only watered that day when planted till some run off was present. You are watering way too much.
I only watered twice one time was just mist and a second time recently cause growth was already slow. These seeds are from a LP and after research, many have the same problem with slow growth in the beginning so I'm not sure if it is the water or what . Iv never watered them till runoff just drizzled with paper towel

Yeah. I did that too. I had 5 seedlings die on me.

For my 6th seedling, the photo I posted. I watered the soil until a little run off. Planted
The germinated seed on feb 3. Haven’t touched the plant since. Been almost 2 weeks and I haven’t watered.

I am using a 800 lumen screw in bulb. It is a 3000k spectrum.

My temps constantly stay around 24 degrees Celsius as I have a heater in my tent as well. That’s the equipment I’m using and am having great success. I had a real rough start all of January and was not happy.

Solo cups are also the way to go.

What kind of heater are you using? I have a oil filled heater but I'm abit hesitant to put it in my tent . What's your humidity at? I noticed your from ontario like myself its fking cold and dry out here

I’m growing in my basement. Humidity sits around 45-65%.

I’m using a regular electrical space heater. Tower heater. Honeywell. With built in thermostat. Only kicks on when temps go below a certain point.

I have my light bulb in a desk lamp fixture. Not using my MH 400 watt yet. Bulb is pretty close to seedling. Gives off minimal heat. Just raised it a tad yesterday.

Depending on heat out it 6-10 inches from seedling.

They are too young to require a feed IMO.
When you grow in real soil there are nutes present from day 1. With a soilless mix like HP there is NOTHING for the sprouts to feed on other than a bit of calcium and magnesium so they need something to establish proper growth.

I've tried side-by-sides using nothing or a light feed and the fed ones always get bigger faster and look way better sooner so your opinion is just that. Your opinion.

One of my favorites for starting sprouts or clones is a decent seaweed fertilizer. It has all sorts of goodness in it that really seems to rock their world and get them off to a great start.

That stoner myth about sprouts not needing food for two weeks is just that. A stoner myth.
