Seedlings-The early days

I see lots of watering and additive info for plants, but not sure if they apply to seedlings

Planted in commercial seed starter mix for later outdoor planting.
The info I've read for plants says wet to dry, but shouldn't new seedlings be always drainage moist?
Til when?

When do additives start?

Thanks

I'm growing in soil.. It's my first grow too but I'll try to answer your question from my little experience and from what I've read. First, You should not worry about nutrients at all until the plants are past the seedling stage, maybe three weeks or so. Even then, you should start with a diluted mixture from what is instructed on the package. I started mine on like 1/3 regular mixture and worked my way up gradually. Also, when you start that, don't give nutes every time you water. Maybe like once a week or so. I water every three days, and I nute like every third watering.

For the seedlings do not over water. It may go against what you feel, but the plants only need to be watered every three days or so. Watering every day at best could stunt the growth and at worst kill your babies.
