Thats bullshit , fridge is best place. Put seeds in ziploc container and store in crisper. Easiest and BEST!!A quote from Subcool about his seeds.
Seeds will keep just fine for 5 years just sitting in a dark dry area.
If you need to extend there life past this use a container with rice and store at 42 degrees. Do not use a home refrigerator the opening and closing of the box will raise and lower the temp of seeds reducing there longevity.
40-45 constant.

Frost free freezers, I wonder if they are a bad idea...Actually refrigerators are very very dry..because of the cold...you can keep them in the freezer too...I would be more likely to store seeds in the freezer...I like the idea of stopping time once something is frozen.
i don't agree bro, Sub is right on with this one....if you want seeds to remain viable longest, they need to be in their own refrigerator that maintains the same temp and humidity, just ask yourself this....what keeps things the longest in a dormant state....the answer, is an evirionment that does not fluctuate..........i am sure most breeders whom are preserving genetics over time use this method, and quite sure Sub just didn't pull the idea out of thin air.....Thats bullshit , fridge is best place.
