Seeds keep dying! :(

My seeds keep dying :/

I germinate them without a problem in paper towel but after I plant them they keep dying!

I've tried leaving the soil dry, leaving it moist, still losing the plant =/

Its strange because one of the seeds grew without a problem! but every one since then has been a nightmare.

Its frustrating because the first one grew without a problem, now I don't know what's going on =( I figured that once it germinated it was pretty safe it would grow and I've read so many articles on how to do it =/

How warm is your germination area? I had probs like this before I got a heat mat & now I'm around 95% success.

Try those dirt poker chips that come with seedling starter kits. Use bottled water adjusted to 5.5ph. Keep 'em under flouros and a humidity dome.

Try germing in soil....paper towel is just one more way to get contamination.

Less steps....the better. keeping it simple will keep it green

Thanks guys.

The Soil is Bio-Buzz All Mix and I'm using bottled water. The grow-box is currently heated with a closely positioned 250w CFL bulb.

I will try germing in the soil instead and see if I have better success.

my germ rate is much worse in soil than in paper towel...and if it germs in the paper towel they usually always survive when i plant them into dirt. it sounds like you do exactly what i do...just one thing i can think of...how long of a root do you let it develop before you transplant it? cuz ive found that the longer the root, the higher the success rate.

Bury it about a 1/4" deep. don't worry about the position of the seed.....that's why the 1/4" is there....for any maneuver required. Lightly cover the seed and keep moist but not sopping. Once it sprouts...do not overwater.
