Starting another grow. Getting things figured out with each grow. Had some light burn and heat issues last grow that I think I have fixed. Here is a link to my last grow. SCROG, 400w MH veg, 600w HPS flower, 5 gallon smart pot, soiless (promix), and Veg&Bloom all in one dry nutes. Ill post lots of pics along the way.

Here's the clones in their current state. Been in there for a week now. They did better after I cut the leaves in half. Now they perked up and roots are starting. image.jpgimage.jpg

kinda.......they are feeding from the moisture in the air around them and not the res itself. they`ll stretch out in time. if you ever see the roots from a fogger style cloner they form in like a golf ball shape of fine hairs. put the air pump on a timer and force the roots to stretch out. i`am not saying you need a timer, just trying to explain the way they react to their environment. you could cut the feeding off all together and the roots would be seeking out food till the plant died. in other words you could cut off your air pump and the roots would find the res and feed. once you get your garden growing take some cuts and do some experimenting with them. use different res levels, play with some timer setting and find what works best for your cloner. have a little fun and it could be very useful as well.

Need to try and keep my new mom small. I potted up last time cause It was drying out too fast but then she really grew. Was thinking about getting a gallon or smaller size smart pot to keep the roots pruned. I need to do some research.

look back through those links i put up about it. or duck duck go it. you can find a method that will fit your needs. just to put it in a general context. with the plant out of the pot shave about an 1" off all the way around including the bottom, then re pot.

i was thinking about taking a smart pot and cutting it up and sewing a smaller one together like just a bit larger than a Solo cup. Then Id never have to trim roots.

i`am not sure how that would work, it would be the easiest for sure. look around and see if anyone else does it or tried it. i`ll do some looking for ya as well.

i like the one on the left front just due to more new growth showing. they all look to be doing good, love those heavy stems.

Looks like I might be able to pot up this weekend. I've topped once already and plan on doing it again. The plants are not in the same order as the last pic. I moved em around while watering. image.jpg

looking good. your front row are still my favs due to their growth. that front right has roots starting to form above ground.
i just chked the paper towels and i got tails so i`ll be putting them in plugs this afternoon. hopefully sprouts by the first of the week.

well you could work a second or even a 4th plant into your grow. your not as limited as you may think. you may not yield as much but you could increase the variety its that whole give and take thing. there are a few things you`ll need to look at to help plan it, the feeding and plant structure. once mine get up and going i should have some very different structures so you can see what i`m talking about.
i think i`am going to be running from seed for a bit just to empty out some of the seeds in my collections. plus it`ll give me much more variety over just 3 or 4 cuts like i had been doing. i guess you could say i`m going to mix it up a bit.
