what makes buds dry an dense after curing and why do they lose thare great smell

it might be the strain but most likely it didn't have optimal grow conditons or you harvested early. if your bud still smell's "green" it prolly needs to dry out more wen you bend a stem you should hear a lil crack but it wont snap clean in half. if thats the case dry it some and toss it in a jar to let the moisture even out

The biggest factor ( aside from genetics ) in the finished quality of your buds is letting them flower long enough. If you harvest too early it will affect the weight, looks, smell, and taste of your green. This is assuming you have cared for them properly and you have a good curing method in place.

Remember that guy who took his wet bud and rolled em up like a marble to create dense nugs? Thought that was kinda funny. Its like duh dude, grab a stronger light or veg less for not so fluffy!

Vegging to long isn't going to make your buds fluffy nor decrease taste/smell... I don't know where you heard that from.
