Out of a pack of 10 hog seeds only 2 female and 1 male survived. The other seedlings stretched then died. I used organic potting soil and ph'd water and used these little 2 inch square pots that look perfect for seedlings. Like I said only 3 survived. I recently germed 2 white berry fems and after thier first set of leaves they yellowed, curled and died, but incidentally they had a filled out root system for its size. And again these were in the square pots.
So the point of this thread is pretty much Im paying out the ass for these seeds and I want all of them to live. What else can I do to eliminate this bad luck? I need some thoughts on this one. I took some shitty Dutch passion purple#1 x orange bud seeds and germed them to see what they do. Hell I might put them under the 1khps 12/12 if they do good.
Is there a completely fool proof method of doing this? Is there something Im not doing? Ive always followed the rule of not feeding them until the 5th or 6th node. But why would my seedlings not grow? I'll be sterilizing the clone /seedling area before these seedlings go in there. And the little pots I mentioned were never sanitized and they originated from a college green house. Could that mean anything?
