Seperate Garbage Disposal Idea for Plant Disposal

I'm thinking up ways to get rid of my useless plant material, like the rootball, stem and fan leaves, the rest is used for hash. I don't want to use the garbage disposal in the kitchen, A) because its older and not 100% confident in it, B) Don't want an expensive plumbing problem.

So I was thinking about making a plywood table surface with just a hole in the middle and attaching a garbage disposal underneath. Then have a bucket underneath to catch all the shredded plant material. I've seen 1HP ones online for around $100. I would probably have to dispose of the rootball seperately, but the idea is to grind up all the excess leaf and stem material, dry it and bury it, or slowly flush it away.

Do you guys think one of those top of the line disposals would be up for the challenge? Or that this idea would even work, without having water running.

why not put in a trash bag and throw it out with the normal trash?

A garbage disposal needs water to work and if you look at the plumbing underneath your sink it doesnt just drop the material out the bottom of the disposer.

Without water you would just have a jammed machine.

Maybe look into a food processor that juices plant material.

nah i would just place all plant material in a seperate bag and trash it in garbage can. you could throw it in another garbage disposal away from your home

Placing cannabis plant matter in your personal trash is not the smartest move one could do, it really puts you at risk for several things;
- Cops dont need warrant to search your garbage once you put it out, its then public property.
- Exposes you to people finding the address of the grow and ripping.

a garbage disposal require water to run. It also will not be able to chop up your waste anyway. The first stick you put in there will stop it from running.

You are ready to pay over a hundred dollars to dispose of something that a 10 cent pack of matches will take care of in just a few minutes.

Do you live in a APT or something?

Not everyone lives in a legal state.....some of us could go to jail if massive amounts of pot leaves and stems are found in the trash.

Or a vat of Lye

Dude. I can't believe nobody has said go out into the woods somewhere and spread the disposal around. It will go away eventually...

Sounds like a good way to ruin a garbage disposal or your home pipping.

Just buy a cheap wood chipper and compost/dig a whole in the ground for your plants.

To those recommending trash, I'm trying to avoid all that. It's not the smartest idea, I'm trying to remove all possible risk. I live in the city and we can't legally burn yard waste, plus it will reek of MJ and my neighborhood will smell that, which is not good.

I will probably look into a wood chipper as ronjohn said. Then dry it out some inside to get the smell down a bit, then go bury it in the woods behind me, or maybe start a flower garden and use it as organic compost.

compost is a great idea. digging holes in forest, you risk someone seeing you + i think it's too much effort just to get rid of some leaf. you can dry em then grind them well and dispose in garbage, they will not be noticed as MJ in any way

When i burn my stuff outside i roll up a big fatty and smoke it while burning the waste, so if my neighbor comes out wondering what that smell is i justy act like they cought me smokin a joint. Wouldnt be anything new.

Your sewer is a bad place to dispose of plant matter and any plumber can explain why. I use a backpack and make it look like I'm out for a powerwalk after dark (why not?). I hike a short distance into the woods and scatter the rootballs or finely chopped plant matter on the ground away from the trail and away from my home.
