I am quite inexperienced but I have read a lot about plants. If I was you I would take cuttings from them and get them to root then give them what they require from the start again to try to cut down on that stretching. Since you have so much stretching you are going to have problems when/if they decide to bush out due to the light not being able to penetrate down to the bottom which means wasted bud.

If you are not prepared to do that to them, its just a case of let them do their thing. You have topped 2/3, I would top the other one to promote bushing instead of more stretching.

Once they are in the correct light, the stretching should slow down a bit.

thank you i will go and do that now, all the lower branches/ nodes where growing little pathetic leaves so i snipped them all off and left the main top ones just so they wernt trying to waste there growing energy on uneeded things as i have put them under them light there streach was slowing down and there most recent node disstence in 2 1/2 inch apart so i am assuming the lights are doing there job, and are you basicaly saying cut the top half of the plant off so all the un needed stalk bassical all the bottom half is taken away and erm, you tube save money use honey its a vid where some guy compares rooting gel and honey, honey is the least effective but still rooted his clones but that was in rock wool i would only be able to do it in soil so bassicaly im asking if it would root if i put it in honey then just straight back into there pots, mam just came back with normal plant feed so im starting them on a half dose straight away just topped that last one and fed them with that feed iv just getten sorry for all the question just i know how they grow ect n if i had the right equipment im sure i would be able to pull some decent plants off but this was a £10 diy set up i had to make on the spot and iv pulled these off still quite pleased with getting this far worked it out n there about 12-13 weeks old like i said should be ready to harvest soon but not so quite a failed project but dont want to just destroy them and start over i want to see how i would be able to get them to turn out and keep it recorded and lean from my misstakes ect and gradualy make them better and better cheers for your help ^.^

Don't worry about the questions, without questions you don't learn.

What exactly do you mean about cutting the top half of the plant? I just meant top the plant, you know where the top young shoot is, cut it off.

But if you want to take cuttings, yeah you can then shorten the plant a little by cutting some off the top of the plant and treating them as cuttings. I have watched may videos on taking cuttings. Soil is no good for rooting them though, I have tried and failed. Honey is a good antiseptic to keep infection off the cuts but I don't think it is any good for actually getting the roots to grow. I came across an ingenious idea for rooting cuttings.

If you have any Willow trees in your area, take quite a few of the freshest shoots off the end of the branches. They are usually still green and have not went dark wood coloured yet.

Then take them branches and take all the leaves off being careful not to rip the branches outer green coating as this is what you need. So once you have de-leafed them, cut the branched into 1-2" pieces and then boil them in some water and then leave it to sit overnight.

Strain the 'tea' through a sieve or something to get all the leftover branches out and then use that mixture to root your cuttings.

Leave the cuttings in the mixture till they root then pop them in soil.

Willow branches has a very high amount of hormones that promote root growth.

Look on youtube for some videos if you want to see it instead of just reading it.

For the amount you have spent on this setup you have nothing to loose so experiment, you can only learn what works and what doesn't.

That is good news that the light has slowed down the stretching, so now would be a good time to get cuttings in so that new plants can grow properly instead of shooting up like the mothers have.

One last thing, if you take cuttings, put one of them into 12/12 light to encourage flowering to find out if you have females. Then you can be sure your crop will produce bud!

They are pretty scrawny they should have been topped long ago.
one confirmed skinny bitch in this picture lol

as for those seedlings, that stretch is not caused by the UK weather
they grow well during veg in the uk in the direct sunlight
and will look just as tight as an indoor plant , it is when they flower outdoor in august/sep they suffer in the uk climate due to lack of light intensity

when folk tried to grow weed in the 1980s from seeds from imported shitty seeded weed under 20w florescent tubes
plants would still grow more nodes than those in the pics above,

the op's plants look like a bean stalk with no branching bad stretching
this could be lots of things over watering , root bound , (poor genetics)

if there were more lower growth i would say chop them in half or whatever
but there is no lower growth , might as well flower them now in another space
don't waste more time on them, if they do not start to flower quickly in the next few weeks i would discard them
once they flower they will most likely stretch a fair amount more and will be difficult to handle because of the height ,
the end yield will be one main central cola per plant that is if they are healthy females and not shemales or whatever
2-3 months more work for just a few oz

do a lot more research and start some new plants with the right equipment and more knowledge and some real effort
you will get much better results

good luck

yeah i know they are bad lol n im using 2 200w n a 150w hps lights with them the stretch is off the sun light on me kitchen window, when these were put under the lights i bought the streching stopped and with them being so tall and unable to get light to the lower brances i decided to just chop them so the plants would consentrate more on the medium/higher up brances n like i sayed if i did have the proper equipment like i was supposed to get with them i would be able to pull some half decent plants off but yeah iv got another 4 seedling that will be topped early on to increase lower branching and im going to be keeping them short n bush with multipul bud sites atm with these all im doing is feeding them and monetering there ph, in the next few month i will be getting my tent and 1000watt hps lights will al the humidity control .ect but as for these im just going to let them get on with it tbh doing the best out of what iv got atm and i dont mind waiting that long for a few oz lol its just to smoke n there ww x bb feminized seeds, if these arnt done by the time i get my tent ect i will just take cuttings of them and put them in the tent with my other kush seeds to see the real potental of the strain
