I'm setting up my t5 bank to clone my current grow I'm going to be topping and trying to clone the tops as well as taking cuttings after the topped plants have recovered a vegged a couple more weeks.

My question is should I have all 6500k bulbs for vegg or is it good to have a few 3000-3500k in there as well for more of a full spectrum light. It's a 2 foot 8 bulb t5 bank and I have plenty of each bulb for any configuration. Just wondering what is teh ideal when vegging / cloning

We put the same wattage & brand spiral fluorescents next to each other. We used one GE Daylight 6500k and one GE Sunshine 5000k and put vegging plants under them. When started at the same distance away, the plants always leaned toward the 5000k Sunshine. We only use the Sunshines now.

cannabis has 2 types of chloroplasts, one that interacts with the red side of the spectrum and 1 with the blue side. Imo using only 1 side you are wasting your plants potential to grow as well and quickly as possible. I always use a mixed spectrum.
