I am right at the start of setting up a small room and would like as much input/thoughts/ideas/ammendments/suggestions as possible on it all from those "in the know" so to speak, haha.
All info and such is appreciated!!
I am looking at doing an sog type grow in a 7 x 10 space with 8' ceiling. I will be running 3 x 1000w hps and looking at anywhere from 20-30plants under each light in either 3 gallon or 5 gallon pots......taking size of pots into account I would probably do either 20-25 per light if 5 gallon and 25-30 per light if 3 gallon. 60-80plants total most likely.
I have not yet decided on what I will be using for a medium. Maybe a coco mix, maybe supersoil or something organic but will not hydro. Also contemplating an eb/flow table for them but not sure there as no real exp in that area so I am thinking I may just stick to watering/staying on top of it daily.
Will be purchasing clones for the first run or 2 and will decide further on that after the first run or 2.
I have an ac unit I will run it the room, room is a lower floor/partially buried room so should stay somewhat cool naturally as well. Also has 1 window that I will be using with the ac unit as well as to vent as required.
How would you do it all? growing medium/number of plants/feeding/watering?
So far my list of supplies is as follows: (some already on hand) again, any suggestions here that may help would be appreciated as well.
3x1000w hps, lights, hoods etc (+extras) (Cooltubes?)
3x1000w dimmable/digital ballast (+extra)
?Fans and ducting?
1xC02 bottle with regulator/delivery meter/monitor
100x pots 3 or 5 gallon.
500+ sq/ft of white poly
50x ceiling/wall hooks
3x timers
1x watering system (simple long spout jug or auto barrel/pump/lines setup...(yet to be decided)
1x charcoal filter/scrubber type setup
1x bundle of staking
1x pk of various size zip ties.
1 x dehumidifier
And then of course 300-500 gallons worth of growing medium to fill all pots!!!
I may also construct a simple framed in an lined "plant pit" of sorts to have all plants/pots in for watering/mess/ease of cleaning purposes.
No room or area for vegging at moment so will be getting clones at about 12" I think and putting right into flower.
Hopeful yields?: - 4lb/over a 10 week flower would be acceptable...6 would be ideal, 8+ would be incredible.
Anyways, any thoughts, suggestions, helpful hints, recommendations, do/donts, etc, etc by all means post away! I have grown smaller a couple times, do have some familiarity with it and have done loads of research but posting/asking here as well sure can't hurt any as well! Would you do the same in this space?
