setup nearly complete...

Just got my DR120W, have my 600w hps....going to get a 6" fan, carbon filter, and ducting tomorrow. Now, i have to finally decide what system to run. Really leaning towards a 4 bucket dwc, but a lil worried. Soil is definitely more forgiving. Summers here are extremely hot and humid, so know that water temps may be an issue. Excited and nervous at the same time!! Feels like I'm rambling...lol. any advice or pointers are welcomed..

I agree DWC is nice way to grow but you have to know what kind of temps year dealing with. Maybe you can do DWC in the cooler winter months and soil in the summer? Also if your looking for an easy hydro setup ebb and flow isn't a bad way to go. I have never tried DWC due to temp issues issues as well. There are some tricks you can do to keep temps down. How big of area are you dealing with? Is your grow area set up now? What are temps with lights on?

I've been hearing about E/F systems and have looked into them. They don't seem to difficult to make. My question is if water temp is an issue with dwc why not e/f too. My tent is 2x4x6. I haven't put anything in the tent yet...still trying to figure out which system to build and run with. Also, not sure i want to make the switch between months. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Coco is always a good option... Yeilds like hydro and is more forgiving just like soil.

It's my first time growing, and I haven't had any issues so far using soil-less(promix hp/general organics nutes/tap water) - hydro/dwc seems a lot less forgiving.
