severe heat stress?? NYCD x Jam

hey i have this NYCD x mountain jam. I am so pissed off with myself. If i sprayed the leaves with water would that burn the leaves? anyway any advice would be great! Im guessin i should just leave it be and keep eye on temp?

Well if it looked fine and then looked like this after you sprayed it, then it was definitely due to the water droplets.. which magnify light and burn leaves like a magnifying glass on ants. In any case, that plant is heat stressed.

well did it look different before you sprayed the leaves with water, some info, there's no real need to spray ur leaves with water aswell
have you done anyhtign differently that may of caused this?

what have your temps been at, whats your lighting? how close is it?? can you put your hand at your canopy and it not burn?
its at the top so id say its light related

ok sorry. im a retard lol. the healthy pic is same plant b4 the prob. i know i shouldnt have sprayed water on the leaves. umm. been on a steady nutrient supply, the light is a 400W HPS, about 1 1/2 feet from plant. Temps have been in high 40s a few times :( only happens at night when i close the cupboard up a bit. will the plant recover fine if it was just the water?

there's your problem, high 40's
you need to get sum fans, install sum intake/exhaust fans and if your grow space allows it, an oscillating fan in there, even like a little 10-15cm round desk fan
PC fans r great to use

cheers heaps mate, i got a computer fan in there sucking air from behind cupboard. also here some pics inside, are the plants to far away from light? i just leave the door open a bit then when i go to sleep prop it open and put blanket over door. thats when the temps soar... thanks for help

Is that a built in ballast in that hood? That's another reason you're seeing such high temps in your room, along with not nearly enough circulation/exhaust.

Just curious here, whats the temp change in degrees between lights on and lights off? I had a buddy with some fucked up plants that looked a little bit like that. He was running hot at like 85f, but it still didnt explain the problem. Well after me thinking about it for a couple days i put in a min/max thermometer, and it turned out his lights off temps and on temps were 25-27 degree swings! That was his problem. It wasnt exactly heat stress, but temp stress. Probably has nothing to do with you, but wanted to throw that out there, haha!

hey i think your right. i have a min/max thermometer and i have seen fluctuations in temp up to 15 degrees celsius..... i feel like ripping them out lol..... start again. i have failed my family.

15 degrees is at the border for temp fluctuations, but 40 degrees in your grow area is far too hot, shouldnt be exceeding 30 really, this is one big learning curve tho bud and the patient the better!

Try building the fan "into" the cabinet rather than having it hanging with a couple of holes beside it, you will no doubt see better results, also bolster the single computer fan with a couple more.
