Are there any sex-linked traits such as bud density, resin production, plant stature, etc... when it comes to marijuana like there are in virtually every species of animal?
ie: If I have a mother that produces, almost without fail, rockhard buds covered in trichs and fan leaves that drip with resin, with a very smooth, pleasant tasting smoke and smell. She does, however, have cons, those being that she is awkwardly lanky and takes 10 weeks to fully finish flowering with average yields of super-potent ganj. The male I want to cross her with has a nice short, bushy structure (a la most NL's) and yields bumper crops with every harvest. It has fantastic blue and red buds with a sour diesel-esque flavor/aroma.
Is there any remotely reliable means of determining which of those traits are more likely than others to carry through to the offspring of that cross other than growing out 1000 of the seeds and carefully documenting phenotypes for every female?
