u cannot tell the sex of the plant until you put it into flowering(12 hours of light/12 hours of dark). After a week or so of flowering you will be able to tell if the plant is male or female. If your plants show little white hairs at the tops of the leaves and the armpits of the branches then its a female, if the plant is showing little grape-looking balls then its a male. If you determine you have a male plant, carefully remove the males from your grow area before the pollen sacks open up otherwise you will end up with hermie plants.

or he can cut off a topping and put the stem of the clone in a cup of water and put them under 12/12 and in 2 weeks the clones will show their sex so u know which to keep and which to kill.
