Sexing a plant? when?

I know this has been asked before but I'm on my phone and I can't search for a thread.

What age should you start trying to sex your plant

i force mine do to height issues . and i tend to grow strechy strains so i lst to about 8 nodes and flip and they usually show within ten days

So you wait untill eight nodes and you "flip" so what does flip mean?

Ive noticed mine 2 weeks into flower, people say they have seen sex in 3 or 4 days but it took mine longer.
OR if you leave it in veg long enough it should start to show signs
