Is it possible to sex a plant without adjusting the lighting?

Nope you need to switch to 12/12 to find out

Not unless you can process it's DNA. But you would need chemicals, and some kind of plant DNA analyzer, and I'm the only one here with that kind of knowledge of advanced machinery!

you have to turn to 12/12 to be sure, but if you let a plant mature before you flower it you should see preflowers that should give you a real good idea of its sex.
