Shelf life of marijuana...how long does it last...what is best way to store??

My first grow is 2 weeks away from harvest, much more than I will be able to use in a reasonable period of time. I am wondering what is the shelf life of marijuana? What is the best way to store it? Will it use its potency over time? Thanks so much for your advice.

your buds can be stored to about a year in a sealed glass jar and frozen or kept in a dry dark place. you can also store it in a vacume sealed foodsaver bag (as i do) and it will last longer. I dont recomend the vacume jars for long storage becaus they will loose vacume over time. air is not good for your buds and will degrade the quality of the smoke over time. also dont store sealed jars in the fridge, condensation could build up in the jar and mold will ruin your stash. if nothing elce, store it in a ziplock, squeez out all the air, seal it, tape it up and put it in a paper bag then into the freezer.

If you keep it vacumn packed and refregerated or cool at the least it will last for years it won't be same as fresh but it will certainly get you high. I just cracked open a stash of nearly 3 year old stuff that knocked my socks off. Oxygen is the potency killer.
