Should I add nutes after transplant?

Hi,

My plants are 3 weeks into flowering and I just moved them into a 5 gallon smart pot. I used half Fox Farms Ocean forest and 420 soil. Prior to transplant they were on earth juice catalyst and bloom 5-10-5 nutes at half strength, but this past week I have been just using water. Should i ease in nutes now?FullSizeRender-1.jpeg

The answer to your question really depends on how large the previous containers were -

More fresh soil, means more nutrition and the longer you can go before starting your feeds again.

Generally speaking, with FFOF, you can go a week or two before the initial 'charge' starts to diminish.

Keep an eye on your plants growth, they'll let you know when it's time.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that info. They moved from 1 gallon plastic pot with your normal potting soil. They were in that 1 Gallon for a long time.

Very welcome - If you just transplanted from 1 gallons, as in a day or two ago, then you might notice a little 'pause', at first, as they acclimate to their new containers.

Once they acclimate, which may take a few days, you should then start seeing a flush of new growth.. Watch for that new growth to slow down, then you'll know it's time to start feeding.

I'd guesstimate, that once they are acclimated and start growing again, you should be good for a couple weeks at least.

It might be too bright for her while trying to expand it's root system into the new container, or perhaps she's getting a little too dry.

Maybe try moving her to partial sun until she recovers....?

Good Luck!
