Should I top my 7 week old Sativa yet or let it grow?

I would suggest using the LST method along with FIM/Top. The same thing happened to my plants. You pay want to add more lights or lower your lights to stop the stretch.

Go for it. My clones are half the size of that plant with the same amount of nodes as yours and are 1 month from cutting and are ready for topping, it's not a big deal. But get some more light on that, and check your feeding, those leaves are unhappy. This plant should be more developed at that age.

7 weeks? Looks like you need to update your lighting set-up. Mine are usually around 14 in. and stacked @ 4 weeks from germination. 2700k is for flower. Did you veg. under the same lamp? How many watts is the CFL that you are using?
Just want some info. to help you out bro.

Peace

Get into a somewhat normal pot first or add soil. ( Is that a bag wrapped around the bottom ? )
Get the light closer.
Stop overwatering.
Do you have any air on it ? You need branch strength and a lot of it when topping.
I'd do all the above first...give it a week or two then think about topping.
IMHO your plant is not shape for topping yet.

Patience is a virtue...
Correcting grow conditions and waiting a couple of weeks can ( and would ) make a world of difference.

This is a topped Blueberry x Northern Lights two weeks from harvest ( Each cola dried / cured to more then oz..easily :) )

All buddage in this pic is one plant.

Topping rules ! I love colas.

Edit. One of the colas is gone as I needed the smoke..lol. trying to find a pic of all 4.

2700k is for flowering, whats best for veg?
6500K is what your looking for Veg.
Some people like to do a 2:1 setup. Example (2) 6500K and (1) 2700K for Veg and the opposite for flower etc.
What ever float your boat.

Good Luck
