I wouldn't. Those things have screwed up more people than they're worth. I've been growing autos the last few years and if I want decent size in the grow room just start in about a 3" plastic pot and once established put them in their final pot, 3 - 5gal, and they'll do fine. I cut the bottom of the rootball off with a bread knife so the roots branch out and fill the larger pot with thousands of feeder roots.

Those things dry out really fast and the roots don't penetrate them all that easy. They go all mouldy in damp conditions too and who needs that.

I was only growing and breeding autos so I could grow outside way up north in Alberta but this year my plants were full of seeds from a hemp farm just a few miles away and it seem there will be more next year so that's FUBAR. Just made a bunch of auto fem F2 seeds from my chosen outdoor strain too. Mazarilla by Urban Legends. GG#4 auto X Mazar auto.

I have tried them and little bags and they always screw things up. Autos I germinate on a paper towel and then stick them straight in the final pot. For photos I germinate on a paper towel and go into a 50mm² (2") pot and once they are ready they go into their final pot.

Over the years I've started literally 1000's of outdoor plants in those . But they're virtually worthless indoors IMO .

All the ones that went outdoors had that cardboard peat crap removed while planting . They are no more than a vessel to hold a medium . No benefits past a few weeks of veg .
