So, here is the thing. Usually when the seed is stuck it is because you did not plant it deep enough. If it’s placed too shallow, as the seed is pushing up there isn’t enough friction to rub the seed shell off. I messed up before and planted one too shallow. The seed shell would not come off and as the other one plant took off, the seed hindered the seedling from progressing.. If I didn’t intervene than the plant would have died 100%. But I ran the risk of killing the plant if I took the shell off myself. I decided the latter and said fuck it. I sprayed the shell and let it soften up a bit and used tweezers to very very gently peel the shell off. It worked, however the plant was stunted the rest of the grow. The starter leaves were stuck under the shell so they were brown and not great when I pulled the seed off. It ended up finishing but becuase of my poor placement of the seed it ruined the plant from ever becoming the same size as her sister.
