Hello everyone thanks for your input and suggestions first of all. I recently purchased some large clones from the local mart :)....they looked pretty healthy when i brought them home! I put them in fox farm ocean forest soil and water with distilled nute rich water. 1st, when i stir up the soil, between the 2 plants i see about 3-4 fungus gnats flyin around so i keep treating the soil w hydrogen peroxide but they still appear. Secondly, some of my leaves have brown rust circles on random parts of the leaf! My first question is if the spotting is possibly from me dripping nute rich water on the leaves by mistake and not wiping it off? My other question is if theres anything more i can do for the fungus gnats besides the peroxide and will they spread to my nutrient film hydroponic setup in the same room containing 3 other smaller clones? (I have 2 soil and 3 hydro in the same room and the hydros r kickin ass) Thanks for your time guys i really do appreciate it, i dont want to lose all of my clones to fuckin gnats or some preventable deficiency/toxicity. And id rather just scrap the 2 soil ones than lose the whole crop obv. Thanks again for helpin a novice :)

I would go back to that Dispensary and give them a piece of my mind. I can't tell you how many people and stores I've seen sell people bad clones and even destroy their entire grow rooms in some cases. It disgusts me, because it's on purpose some times. Gota love the dog eat dog childish/primitive mentality.
Hopefully it gets resolved. I always used natural bugs to eat my bugs I don't want. Praying mantis is my favorite, they make the garden so awesome..

When I used to run a giant Salt Water aquarium it was SOP to quarantine EVERYTHING (even rocks) before it went into the tank. It was characterized as good fish husbandry. If you're going to be bringing rooted clones into your space maybe you should consider a small area to quarantine before they go into your grow room?

Diatomaceous Earth sprinkled on top between waterings helps to keep the gnat population under control. I've heard the flying ones don't cause that much problem and that its the larvae in the soil that are most damaging. But guess what, I don't fucking care. I hate those dirty little flying cocksuckers.

The spots look like what happens when you get drops of fertilized water on them and let it sit. Salt burns. You said you are using ocean forest? I haven't used that in years but as far as I remember it's pretty hot. It probably doesn't need fertilizer for a while (depending on pot size). It is also most likely where the gnats came from. New soils generally have gnats, it's part of using dirt. They may have come from the dispensery but my bet would be the dirt.

LOL praying mantis are cool but won't do shit for gnats unless you have the burrowing type. And yup probably the OP's soil that is the culprit, not the dispensary.

I'm not sure that's from water drops on the leaves. The round spots probably are water, but the leaves in the back ground look unhealthy. The last 2 pics on left hand side you can see it. The second to last pic looks like something been eatin the leave. The backgrounds are kinda blurry so maybe I'm seeing shadows.

FF puts hypodsasis miles in their soil to help control the gnat issue.

NEVER!!!! add nutes with FFOF soil, the soil is hot enough,. your gonna fry your plants.

NEVER!!!! add h2o2 to organinc soil. it KILLS all the benies in the soil.

promis, gnatrol, go gnats, bti mosquito dunks, are all good items to keep on your shelf for this issue.

You folks who bring in plants from the outside would be well advised to set up a small area with CFL and warmth to quarantine those clones or new plants in. Well away from the grow area. A few days in the hoosegow and you will see if there are overt issues. Leave them on a piece of white paper and see what gathers on it. Use a small scope to look at the plant itself. Then transplant IN THAT ROOM! Get rid of the soil they were in. Just shake it loose from the roots before you place in the new soil and new container.. Unless you are a real meatball they will live just fine.

WOW THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES GUYS! i repotted TO ff soil because the previous soil had them also!!! ×.× prehaps the soil has them ALSO but the gnats came from the dispensary ALSO trust me. Thanks for the knowlege on hot soil, ff didnt say anything so i figured it wasnt that hot; rookie mistake i know. I only used peroxide soo lightly to cover the top layer of the soil probably didnt even penetrate to the roots. I REALLY appreciate you help guys i cant thank you enough.
