Well, I don't know a huge amount of information about it, but what I do know is that it's based in the Tor network and uses an extremely encrypted and untraceable form of money called bitcoins to complete transactions involving drugs and firearms. It's done on a system of merit like the top sellers on ebay. Supposedly very legit...

As well as its anonymous and you pay people with things called Bitcoins.

How are you not able to access it from Australia? Isn't silk road on the tor network?

Derple it is accessible from aus. There's several sellers from there.
It's a reasonably secure anonymous marketplace for drugs online.
The prices are high, but you can find most anything.

Problems with TOR network:
- People set up exit points and sniff the data trying to get peoples passwords
- Child pornography
- Slow compare to other darknets

But it can be fun for OPSEC.

Mind you even browsing the deepweb can give access to creepers to your computers webcams, the silk road is legit but at an all time high on cost. The deepweb is dangerous.

OVER PRICED, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BULLSHIT DRUGS THAT YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY CAME FROM OR WHAT IS PUT IN THEM!!!

i had trouble accessing silk road about a year ago, then i finally got in and was disappointed for a number of reasons. a few months later i tried to get back in to show a friend and I couldnt at all. oh, and bitcoins ARE traceable, just as traceable as the package they send you in the mail!

While bitcoins can be traced, when they're properly mixed it takes a lot of work to trace them. The DEA would love to bust them. The existance of the silk road is a pretty strong (and very public) reminder that they're losing the drug war. At the same time there's probably no IRL connection between the sellers and the people who run the site, so the traditional method of busting drug organizations doesn't work. Furthermore the fact that it allows end users to meet up with suppliers means most of the transactions are small scale personal use quantities. How much work are they really gonna do to bust people for an ounce of pot or a ten strip or an eighth of Molly?
And tracing mail isn't exactly easy either. Unless a seller puts their actual return address on it.

Its not anymore, if you watched exponential growth of bitcoin currency, its at an all time high. One tab is 5 times what is was before December this year so one hit of lsd can be up to 40$ us dollar.

basicly go google tor browser ,download it , download firefox .Go on google and type in .onion and there is a few forum posts were people have listed the adress of silkroad .Then go into tor and go in..I did it looks very legit ,based on user ratings and feedback, but the stuff is damned expensive and bitcoins look very troublesome to obtain...then you gotta worry about the actual safeness of it all...i would rather stay away...but it's legit

I used too *hypethaticly speaking* order about an average of an ounce to 2 ounces of skunk from SR on a pretty regular bases and it always came on time and never under-wieghed, if at all it was almost 1 gram more then supposed to be. You can get anything from RC's to LSD-25 on the SR. No firearms anymore to my knowledge..

For strains such as white widow or green crack anywhere from 300-320$. They offer better prices when you buy in bulk. A QP can run you anywhere between 900-1150$ *hypethetacly speaking*

I can access it and im in Australia. I just don't get how to order or add bitcoins to my account.
