Simple BHO making question.

Should I leave the bud/trim in my tube somewhat lose or a tight pack? I've been blasting for awhile but want the best results and think this may be my issue.

I will tap the extraction tube to setting the plant matter. never pack down because it will force the butane to channel dramatically decreasing yield
