Simple lighting question.

Whats the cheapest type of lighting that will actually work.
I'm a first time grower so its pretty much just an experimentle thing.
And money is a big factor.

Planting 3-5 plants in a closet.

the cheapest is to get some cfl compact floresent light. These work good. they have a few types. to start I would get 3-6 100w daylight. Go to walmart, the best deal I could find. 2 for 7 bucks. run 18/6.
