Simplify outdoor soil recipes/ Ph for beginners. (Help wanted)

Registed Socal patient, getting ready for next years grow season and I would like some help on a soil recipe that will feed my plants thru the long Socal season (May-Oct or longer if desired.)

I understand the concept of mixing plant food/soil together but I'm not to sure how to get soil to desired ph. I heard dom lime makes it 7.0, but isn't that to high? Also how much plant food to put in my soil recipe?

And will the ph change over time and if so, how do i fix it? And i understand making compost teas when your soil runs low on food but not sure of a good recipe that wouldnt put the ph out of whack?

All these factors make me just wana go buy premade bags of soil but 12 bags of FFOF (12plants in 10 gal pots) will run $120-$150 here in socal. 2 patient grow in case you're wondering

Any help would be appreciated!! Keep in mind im a beginner so try to keep it simple if possible. PEACE!:peace:

Getting FFOF might be cheaper then mixing your own soil... Unless you buy in extreme bulk for a few seasons

Mixing soil is more expensive in that small amounts by the time you buy all the amendments. I'd say go with the FFOF for that small of pots ( I do suggest bigger pots) and amend that soil on the next grow. Look in the organic section for soil recipes. My last soil mix ran about 250.00 for just the amendments to amend a large kiddy swimming pool of used soil. That's minus the soil I all ready had. added : kelp, bone , fish, alfalfa, lime, iron, rock sulphate, chicken poo, manure, compost, EWC , Epsoma and micos .
