sink vent

i'm setup in a downstairs bathroom. i was wondering if anyone has used the vent from a sink for exhuast since it goes up through the roof?4x4x8 room-400w hps

Vent from a sink? please explain..? I did not know sinks had vents?

i know sinks have p traps and vents (stink stack)to prevent harmfull gases from flowing back into the home from the sewer I would think if u connected into the stink stack above the p trap it might work. but i do not think u would be able to connect under the sink,it would have to be connected in the wall above the p trap

the sink vent is usually 1 1/2 pvc. Might be better to use the sewer vent, the main that the sink empties into. Has an accessible clean out, remove it and put your vent pipe there. VV
