Skunk va chem 91 = Og kush S1 = OG18?

I asked this on another forum but only got 2 responses. I've heard 10 years ago or so that DNAs OG18 when it was real not the shit they have now was actually a S1 of og kush which really was a S1 of chem 91. One guy has a original pack of DNA og kush from 2008 or earlier and it says inside the pack that there(DNA) og kush was made from Selfing Chem 91. Another guy said it was a OG from breeder Steve(SOL). What do you guys think cause we ain't going to get the truth from Don and Aaron I can tell you that.

Reason I'm trying figure this out is because the OG18 from 10 years ago was the SHIT! like a skunk pissed in your mouth, no sweet or lemon, straight skunk and potent. Hard as hell to clone(pre aero cloners) and sorta auto flowered in veg. Stupid me I didn't keep it thinking I could buy more which I did and they were all duds compared to the freebie I got. Even the freebie of og kush from around same time was bad ass, same structure as the og18 but lemon sweet upfront and some skunk in there.

I've never grown or smoked Skunk Va Chem 91 so I can't say what's true about story so I figured I'd see what your guys take is on this? If it is true gives me a place to really start pheno hunting through Elite Kings chem91 to try find some worthy genetics to work with.

Based on my research, OG Kush does not equal Chem 91. Chem 91 is the first seed popped by Chemdog from a batch of Dog Bud from the PNW. Dogbud is an unknown hybrid. OG Kush supposedly = Emerald Triangle x Hindu Kush (hermie) aka Supernaught. I wouldn't be surprised if Chemdog and OG both have Hindu Kush in there. Isn't hindu in garlic bud? I always get a garlic funk from chemdog. DNA selfed their OG Kush which was the same clone mentioned above

The weed chem got the seeds from was grown in paionia Colorado .

I got some reserva privada OG18 freebies once

Smelliest, nastiest funk ever, shit was foul and almost made you nauseous trimming it -- all in a good way

Tested just shy of 30% and had incredible bag appeal as well

Very difficult to clone as well

Id be very interested to know exactly where this one originated from and who currently has legit seeds

I'm pretty sure there's no actual high mountain kushes in OG Kush, the bubba line of kush I would believe has real high mountain kush in it. Also garlic always pops up in the Chem D, chem 91 is different terpine profile. The selfied OG DNA used is the one in question really since it's what they made the OG18 that many people remember 10 years back or so. DNA printing the genetics on there packs back then for there og kush as being chem 91 just seems weird and not really ever talked about.

Check this out. Right on DNA site says this about there OG Kush "Bag seed from a Grateful Dead show (Chem Dawg)"


Also in description for OG 18 On DNA site says "She has the yield and fuely sour taste of the Chem Dawg with the OG-Chem power"

Don't believe DNA...They make shit up...Chemdog...Joe brand and Pbud from CO got it from PNW, right? Doesn't really matter.

I love Chemdawg. I'm super stoked right now cause I just had my dispensary hold 2 Chem 91 clones for me until I get there tomorrow. They are the real deal, clone only original. Gotta love Colorado.

No question where Chem got the seeds of Chem 91. The question is did DNA get a Skunk VA chem 91 clone and self it to make there version of OG Kush they had 10 years or more ago which in turn they selfed to find there OG18. Why would they print on there packs that they used Chem 91 selfed to make there OG? I dont trust Don and Aarons word on anything either, ive heard they have done shady stuff like stealing clones while visiting other people's grows and shit like that in the past.

Is OG18 really a S1 of DNA version of OG KUSH which came from DNA selfing the clone only SKVA Chem 91?

Anybody that has the real SKVA chem 91 and has grown OG18 from 10 years ago see any resemblence? My og18 had very dark thick leaves and was skunky fuel.

I ran the feminized reserva privada og kush about 10 years ago was absolute fire,saddly I got rid of it and tried a pack of purple og from Dna in 2015 and none of it even slightly resembled the original fire i got,it was all absolute trash.when I first got the original pack with the fire I investigated to see what cut it was and I found so.ewbere where it said they used the sfv og clone only to make the s1 I got.
My nugs looked identical to picks of sfv og with a super pungent stank but not the best bag appeal....looked good just not blow you away with bag appeal,that didn't happen till you smelt,smoked and tasted it
then you were hooked

I've only ran 2 packs of SFV og kush with about 8 years between the packs, both from Swerve. I didn't think they were similar to the DNA Og kush freebie I had except for the lemon. Your right about the bag appeal of the DNA og kush and the og18, they were sorta ugly but with bad ass terps and potency. Where as the SFV girls had much different bag appeal. I did ask Don about there OG Kush genetics and his responce was it came from the original.

Not trying to hi jack the thread, but the clones made it home safe. I just hope I can keep them happy and healthy. I would like to keep this strain going awhile if I can.

Swerves sfv is the sfv clone x afghani so not the sfv clone only. I just picked up swerves cut of sfv from dark heart nursery. I was hoping it was that actual sfv but no.

It’s crazy bc when the seeds dropped no one said they were similar to og kush at all I remember bc I still have two seeds left from the pack .. I was gonna pop one but these are 10 yrs old and need luv so I’m waiting

the og 18 got lots of praise but the og kush didn’t .. I luved that og till this day one of the most chemical offense smelling plants I ever had ..if I was to guess the og kush was deff was 91 s1 .. which 91 is the question .. idk I might have pics on the other site I just remember it being taller lanky with small ass nugs that would bubble and smell like straight chemicals and raw gas

I was curious also what cut was used and I remember reading they used the “Christopher Wallace cut” it even said it on seed finder for a while idk if they changed it ..it can be the same 91 jb cut bodhi used once who knows ..

the og 18 is deff not a chem 91 s1 .. I never understood how they said the og 18 was a off spring from the same line as the og kush when they two total diff plants .. the 18 grows like a kush and the og kush they have grows and smells like a chem

if your looking for chem 91 skva in seed form i would highly recommend elite kings genetics skunk va back cross,they used isp chem 91 as a base and bxd it back to thee va clone twice more....ive grown it as well as a ton of f2s i made,the back cross is very consistent,all skunk/chem taste ans smell and a wicked no ceiling sativa high

Yeah swerves a fuck head but I still occasionally grow some of his gear. I just grew out 9 Tahoes, 6 were from a pack and 3 pick and mix. Zero and I mean zero OG in all 9. They were sweet Dutch generic garbage. Couldn't believe it once they started having some terps to smell I was like what the he'll is this shit...growing his gg4 x purple punch in a tester area now actually.

I read that too, that new Tahoe is not even og, more like Dutch genetics. Sucks to hear.
