Skunk weed?

What is Skunk weed? Is it a different type of strain? I live in South Africa and one of the Rasta's gave me a seed and said this is Skunk, grow it and you won't regret it.

Any information would help. Thanks

The skunk I know of was I think some indica that basically smelled like feet and knocked you the fuck out. I have seen places advertising skunk #1. From the late 60s. Might be fire. Pop one in the dirt!

That sounds like cheese thing is with real skunks there was a lot of variation hence one might smell like pissy skunk one might smell cheesy one might smell fruity or garlicky or piney or like death unfortunately the sweet fruity shit is the most common type these days due to bad selection and preservation etc

Back in the eighties we called the stinky indica coming from places like Humboldt county skunk because it was so smelly compared to the columbian, mexican, etc... that had been the mainstay for years. I've grown a version of Skunk #1 and it was nothing like what we used to call skunk. It was good but not the same. I'm sure some of what we used to get has been lost to history.

real skunk is illusive to say the least. if you have the real thing, it should be good. I'm supposed to be getting an ibl of the original skunk from a guy who supposedly got the seeds from skunkman directly... we'll see...

it's skunk #1, but is supposed to be an ibl from the original beans sam the skunkman brought to Amsterdam... I don't know what to expect, but it sounds like there might be something genuine to it... i'll have to grow em before coming to any conclusions.

There was a Road Kill Skunk with the most unique Feeling Bred outa Houston. Shoreline... I am sad to say that it no longer exists. If someone says it's Shoreline they are full of shit. I didn't know the 1st thing about Feminizing back then and I Killed the last Mom and all of the cuttings. What a Fkn Idiot. My Brothers Bulldog had got into the room and twisted them all up with chain and in a rage I Killed Them All. I thought for sure someone else would be growing it.. Nope. It was Clone Only and it's fkn Dead.

He was probably referring to it as skunk as opposed to your local weed, so basically something that has had human intervention in the breeding of it... but I am just taking a wild guess, I still call what we smoke skunk as opposed to brickweed from 'hotter' countries

I started out with 7 beans and all cracked and grew really fkn fast, faster than I remember anyway. Now I have 5 6ft females, kept some male pollen but feminized one of the best of the girls. The plant that I'm pollinating has been in flower for 3 weeks. All i was missing was some roadkill skunk to make it bigger and a fruity stank. I think I'm calling it 5 Assed Monkey! The female was a freak Huckleberry Tastes like Heaven with some really calming properties. Like smoking Joy but a lil medium and about 12-14%thc I needed the kick that SS always leaves behind and I need the Le Pew!

I remember when skunk #1 came through Houston, by the time I went and took everything out of the bank , the Skunk was all gone, broke my heart...
All the skunks I'm mentioning actually smell like real skunk spray but in a awesome kinda way, not just dank....

I have a Super Skunk from Nirvana I got from Seedsman going right now. I know it won't be like what I had in the late 90's, but if it smells skunky i'll be happy lol

Skunk is a strain, that smells like skunk

Pretty much anybody that smoked weed in the 90's was smoking skunk
I've been reading about shoreline genetics. Have you heard of the Texas road kill or the roadkill master? I'm looking for a skunky strain.
