Hi everybody I am new here my first post but i have been reading around here for a while now. This is my first grow and its on a small budget any way March 20 i planted 3 skywalker og kush femanised seeds. all three sprouted with out a problem. they are in organic sea soil its 1.8-1.2-.2 I water 2 to three times a week. i transplanted them last week into these 3.5 gallon containers I also foliar feed with a weak dose of liquid seaweed diluted in ph'd water. ph is 6.8. If i'm forgetting anything please say so. Out of the three plants they all look completely different to me the two seem perfectly healthy the one is a darker green and the leaves are clawing down big time. I have no idea what i've done wrong so any advice would be appreciated. thanks I have some pics for you.IMG_20130424_194314.jpgIMG_20130424_194327.jpgIMG_20130424_194455.jpgIMG_20130424_194444.jpgIMG_20130424_194450.jpgIMG_20130424_194327.jpg

p.s I havn't fed them anything other than the liquid seaweed sprayed directly on the leaves. Their doesn't seem to be any yellowing or browning of any kind and the temp is high 70s to low 80s. The lights i'm using are cfls for the veg stage i have a 600 watt hps for flowering.

darker green plus claw=probable over feed or hot soil. Light flush will prob fix it. If it started after recent transplant then its likely the soil is a bit hot....others may or may not be " not far behind" kinda thing. No biggie, light flush to lower EC. Good luck

Ok thank you very much i will do that tomorrow because they just went in the dark cycle. another question with this soil am I eventually going to have to add more fertilizer?

yeah it looks like you probably started feeding them too early and over do it. i would also suggest a light flush and keeping the nute solution on the low side until they ask for it.

But I haven't used any nutrients other then the sea weed so I guess that leaves the soil has to much nutes already. But why are the other two fine they all get the same treatment

hmm, is this your first grow? if so, i would suggest a soil less mix the next time you start seeds. as someone suggested, your soil is a little hot for that phenol (reason why i suggested a soil less mix) and it's showing.

ok guys i gave the girl a light flush. when will i have to start giving it nutes and whats the best organic fertilzer i can give them that is able to be obtained in canada. i jumped into this organic thing and its hurting the brain a little bit right now. hoping to get some more input here again id like to thank you for past and any future advice given.

personally, i think if you're using the equivalent of FFOF they probably won't need nutes until you start them in flower (unless you plan to veg them for months to get monster plants). It's a notoriously hot soil for seedlings, and the claw is usually an indication that your pheno is just a little nute sensitive. Keep this in mind going forward, not all plants (even sometimes of the same strain) like the same exact amount of nutes. Your girls will always tell you what they want, you just have to know their language

If you're really intent on giving her something I'd wait a couple weeks and, as long as she looks better by then, you could try a light mix of epsom salts and unsulfured molasses. This will help them start the flowering stage off strong. Let us know how it goes man

ok i just realized one of the other plants the bottom leaves are going yellow. What could cause one plant to be showing signs of def. and the other showing signs of to much. they are the exact same strain. Can different phenos differ that much for how much nutes they like?

yeah i'd say probably hold off on the foliar feeding for a week or so and see how they respond. plants will absorb nutes a lot more quickly if fed this way and can burn much more easily as well.

hmmmm that's interesting, can you upload some current pics of them? usually nute tolerance of plants of the same strain won't differ THAT much, although i have seen weirder things happen.....there might be an overwatering or pH issue (stock response for plant problems lol)

in the mean time these might help you diagnose the problems. pics are worth 1000 words derp derp......these pages saved more than a few of my plants when i was starting out

like fresh 2 death said, if it's the first set of leaves (called cotyledons) it's 100% normal for them to yellow and fall off after a while. that's actually what they're for, the seedling will use all the compounds stored up in them to help it grow
