So I've done my reasearch (including trolling here and other herb forums for a while) and decided that I want to grow my own stash!
I live in a 1 BR condo/loft. Besides my pantry downstairs, I have two fairly large sliding door closets...about 15' wide and 3 feet deep. Height shouldn't really be an issue.
The thing that has kept me from buying my first run of equipment is how exactly would you do a closet setup, if you were to start over again? Build a grow box? Use a metal locker/cabinet? Buy/build a grow tent? I want to keep smell to a minimum...so I'm leaning on the cabinet/box idea with a carbon filter going out.
I'm looking to do maybe a set of 3-6 plants @ a time, with a DWC setup in the box/cabinet. Hopefully pick up a 400w digital ballast from htgsupply.com
Do these "digital" ballasts operate a lot cooler than conventional HPS?
I'm more so concerned with a "flowering chamber." I plan on vegging/keeping a mother in a spare mini fridge converted to a grow box.
Any input is greatly appreciated! I'm sure I have other points or questions that I can't think of @ the moment...
