Slop Sink - Using Tupperware and lightproofing PVC?

I've got a drain in my soon to be veg room, and planning to route all waste water to it, dehues, mini splits, flood tables, etc. Here's a picture of the drain, and a quick, non-detailed glimpse at the layout.

I think I can T off the drain line so that there is a "slop sink" in both rooms. This way, I'll only have to worry about light-proofing a single entry point, the 1 inch PVC that goes through the wall to the flower room's slop sink. Like this;

The smallest, cheapest slop sink I could find was like 45$.. for basically a 12x6 plastic container.. Thinking of using a little tupperware container with a bulkhead fitting attached to the bottom of it as the 'slop sink'. I'd just build a small frame around it using spare wood laying around and mount it to the wall. You can get tupperware for like 5$ or less, so ~10$ for both slop sinks vs ~90$. Any thoughts? And any advice on light proofing the PVC? Would using grey PVC help with that? I'd imagine the white PVC would let light through, even if just a faint glow.

Brilliant idea for the sinks. The bulkhead fitting you mentioned should work or I've used uniseals with pvc even on a curved surface and it worked perfectly.
