Slow Flower, To Trim Or Not To Trim?

Hey guys. My girl is just at just over 3 wks flowering and the progress seems fairly slow to me. She is covered in hairs and all the nodes are hairy but it doesn't seem to be getting any girth. I know i'm still going to have prob another 2 mths of flower, but I figured I would see a little more girth by now. This is bag seed that was out of some greate weed.

Heres kinda like a grow log so you can see what i'm working with :

What i'm curious about is if its better to trim lower leaves that are either: Blocking hairy nodes or spots that are not gonna get hairy on the lower half. My thought is that maybe the plant may be wasting time/energy on these areas that don't need the goodness. I've seen so many pics of people with the bottom half of the plant being just stems. I also attached a few pics ( sorry CaNNaBiZNeSS and Major_Nuggz for not getting permission for reposting pics. any prob. and i'll take them down) The pics without the rigid vaccuum in it are at the same flower time that I am in.

Here are some pics from a few mins ago (i know shes sad, took pics right before watering, also i had some tip burn issues i'm working on)

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, or any advice in general would be appreciated

Thanks!

*edit* The very top of the plant is pale because i was not home for 2 days a few days ago and apparently the bulb blew so the top had no light for 2 days. The rest of the plant had plenty of light
