Slow flowering? First Photo Grow

I've only ever done Autos before, so not very familiar with the different cycles, never had to flip my girls in the past so hoping I'm overthinking a little

I'm growing Critical Purple Kush from seedsman (hybrid, "mostly indica") , in her veg period everything was flying, December 26th she was flipped to flower except the missus was in charge of looking after her for a week and left the door open at lights out for about a week, wasn't happy about it but the plants had no light leaks now for 14 days

Over the past 2 weeks this girl has tried to stretch, but I've gently used LST'd to expose deeper below the top canopy

She's obviously still growing, and has started throwing white hairs, but I'm reading mixed messages online

According to the breeder, this strain flowers in ~8-9 weeks, (I'm aware this is to be taken with a pinch of salt) but when do you start counting From the end of flower stretch? Or from when you flip the lights?

I've seen autos go from no buds to colas in a couple of weeks, but I very much doubt this girl only has 6 weeks left

Everything going as planned and I need to chill out?

You can count from flip or you can count from end of stretch, either way it’s done when it’s done.
....
That plant looks like it’s been flowering for 2 weeks. So yeah it will likely go 8ish more.
Okay cool, thankyou for putting my mind at rest

Based on this one grow, photo's seem to take longer to go through each stage than auto's, but the 6 week veg time and 2 week stretch has given me so much more time to LST and get a nice canopy going, not sure I'll ever go back to autos ever again bongsmilie:blsmoke:

Every time i grow an auto, it's smokes like the rip off version of the photoperiod. Sour diesel auto? more like tangy diesel.... :spew:

You can't trust those breeder estimates at all. Very often an 8-9 week strain takes 12 weeks to finish. Go by signs of ripeness, not breeder dates. Good luck!

Well this fills me with hope :bigjoint: Did a few auto grows last year and was always really happy with the end product

Already seeing some trichs developing on the sugar leaves so hoping I'm growing some power smoke to enjoy over summer

I've smoked autos from dutch passion that were nice. They're smokeable. Similar to eating fruit loops and they're the bomb, then you go get a box of no name fruit loops and the Colours look faded and the taste is off but still enjoyable. Could be the way im growing too, I'm not very experienced with auto-flowers.
